A message from our CEO
Welcome to Protect Ethical Prosecutors (PEP). I’m Iris, the founder and CEO, and I’m so grateful you’ve joined us.
Throughout the course of my decades-long career as a criminal defense attorney, I witnessed prosecutors commit the most egregious forms of misconduct. I saw constitutional rights violated, exculpatory evidence hidden from the defense and more discovery violations than I could count.
Prosecutorial misconduct is a nationwide epidemic — they have unchecked power to wrongly charge, convict and destroy innocent lives. Their victims lose decades behind bars, families are torn apart and yet prosecutors face no accountability.
They can’t be sued for the harm they cause.
At PEP, we’re working to change that, starting with a campaign to educate lawmakers and the public about the systemic problem.
Here’s how you can help today:
Follow us on social media — Stay informed and help spread the word.
Share your story — We’re creating a database of prosecutorial misconduct. If you have been impacted, please report the misconduct here.
Support policy change — We’ll keep you updated here on key legislation and how you can help.
If you have any questions or want to get involved, sign up for our mailing list — I’d love to hear from you.
Together, we can protect ethics, promote accountability and put an end to prosecutorial misconduct.
Thank you for standing with us.
