Lauryn Schroeder is the Director of Communications and Data for PEP. She is a former investigative journalist who spent nearly 15 years researching, investigating and reporting on criminal justice issues including, local jails, crime rates, policing tactics, wrongful convictions and the U.S. immigration system. She specializes in communications strategies, analyzing complex datasets and writing about analyses for public consumption. She previously worked for the Associated Press, The Medill Justice Project and several small papers in Michigan.
