
Rebecca Brown
Rebecca Brown is the founder of Maat Strategies LLC, a policy advocacy consulting firm specializing in criminal legal reform. She is also the co-founder of Justice Strikeforce, a c(4) lobbying firm that represents those directly affected by the criminal legal system by providing the resources, strategic technical assistance and infrastructure they need to transform their experiences into impactful advocacy. Rebecca previously worked at the Innocence Project for 18 years, helping to develop and then lead its policy team, which successfully lobbied for the passage of more than 250 laws. She has presented at judicial conferences, state bar associations, and diverse criminal justice and academic conferences. She is sought out as a subject matter expert by high-profile media outlets, including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, VICE, Slate, BBC, CBS News, Politico, NPR and the American Bar Association Journal.
